{wallpaper update}

i'm thrilled to report that my 3 rolls of wallpaper have arrived and i'm thrilled to pieces with the color of it. it's not a canary yellow as i prayed it would not be, it's a lovely mustard-y color, like goldenrod. for a color comparison, i've photographed it alongside the current issue of martha stewart weddings. notice their pure yellow font against the wallpaper so you can see what i mean. it's much more of a goldenrod than a canary. it will look perfect with my white cabinetry and slate gray tiled floor in the kitchen. and if not, who cares because i have enough to hang it in my entry/main hallway instead since i have 10' ceilings in the hall and it's about 16' long and windowless so it may actually work better in the hall. hmmm. anyway, i opened a roll so you could see the pattern in full view. a few of you wrote to me after this post and i've been meaning to write you back but i figured i'd go ahead and post my resource so you can go shop for beautiful wallpaper at huge discounts too. resource: eades wallpaper & fabric contact: jim email: quote@eadeswallpaper.com phone: 1-877-229-9427

Beautiful wallpaper Holly! You'll have to show it off proudly when its hung on your walls. Check out my June 29th post on a Vintage Wallpaper vendor that sells by the roll, meter, and even up to 5 samples!
Take care,

It's wonderful Holly! I love yellow and have just been working with it in a collection and there are lots of ways to go wrong with it but this paper is beautiful! So glad I found your new blog as I'm moving to Belgium next year. Obviously, not the same as moving part-time to Germany, but fun to watch you decorate your beautiful, blank, German canvas.

Eades is the best. They helped me out for months trying to resolve a RIDICULOUS situation with Rapture & Wright. Suffice it, I still have the wrong wallpaper (my fault - I ordered the wrong stuff, but R & W wouldn't honor their initial agreement to exchange it without an extra $500!), but my love for Eades continues. They are among the nicest, most understanding and professional people I've ever dealt with.

And, if anyone wants $800 of beige R & W paper - let me know. It's sitting in my basement.
