R.S.V.P. - Berlin (and online)

I thought that since I live in Germany now and have learned my way around fairly well since relocating here last year... that it's time to give back! So I want to start featuring more of the "German" finds that I have discovered/am discovering along the way to benefit design-lovers/geeks like me who are interested in finding great stuff in this beautiful, though often hard to navigate, country.

RSVP Berlin

When I say hard to navigate, it mostly is due to having very different products and discoveries to make which can often be time consuming and for some, frustrating even. Though I will talk about stuff in northern Germany more often than other parts of the country, I will post about online shops, bloggers, and other must-visit German sites and stores that I suggest checking out.

The first of many is R.S.V.P. in Berlin. This is a great artsy shop but also they have an online store and sha-wing! they accept visa/mastercard so we Americans are IN LIKE FLYNN!

I just ordered some kraft paper notebooks from Korea, a notebook from Portugal, and some other goodies shown in the photos above. I love kraft paper, it's been an obsession of mine for a few years and so when I see it I always stock up.

If you care to share some of your great German finds with me, please tell me where you shop for paper and crafty goods in the comments section below.

Much love,
xo Haus Maus Holly

I'd love if you started posting great berlin finds. I'll be visiting berlin with my boyfriend for christmas and we've been looking for random things to do and see for the two weeks.

Awesome! when I lived in Germany, I was transfixed by their paper clips. Instead of rounded edges, the ones I saw were flat on top with a pointed lower edge. Have you seen these? I still have one that I kept as a souvenir and I often think of how great it would be to have a whole box of them. They are just so odd.

Can't wait, can't wait. I miss beautiful little german shops. If you find many with online stores that's even better :)

Dear Holly,
especially in Berlin there are a lot of little independent shops selling crafty goods, you have to visit "my" city and explore! For now, I'll suggest "Mamsell"(www.mamsellberlin.de), a very sweet shop selling Chocolates but also tableware, greeting cards, glassware and other cute stuff, and a piece of heaven for crafters called "Modulor"(www.modulor.de) where you can find a lot of papery goodness and everything else you need to get creative. And they have an online shop as well...
Looking forward to more great German finds!
Liebe Grüsse, Leonie

Reading this post, I couldn't help but think of my favourite paper store in Berlin. When I lived there last year, I would pop in a lot, sometimes to buy some of their yummy paper products, but sometimes just to be in the store. It's such a sweet store. Check it out if you lke:

sadly no online purchasing =(

Can't wait for you to share your discoveries with us.
I just recently discovered the idee creativmarkt at a local mall. It is not an independent shop, but they have a wonderful selection of craft supplies.

They have stores all over Germany and one in Hannover.

I live in Berlin but have worked with Düsseldorf-based Letterpress77 from afar. They made gorgeous business cards for me and also sell their own line of cards.
