Tea For Two by Kaili Ittensohn

Kaili Ittensohn was a Blogging Your Way student of mine. But long before that, she gave me the most beautiful painting -- I showed it to you here. And she is a friend -- long distance -- but a friend. And so that is why when she posted a comment earlier pointing me to her recent friendship painting I just had to warm your heart a little... so look at this painting... does it not make you happy inside?

Kaili you are a wonderful, precious gem!

No Holly, you are the gem! Truly! Why are so good to me? I don't know how I came to deserve your friendship but I am very grateful for it! Your amazing and an inspiration to me xx
I happened to be drinking tea when I looked at this and couldn't resist taking a photo:

The colors even go together!

So funny.

Love Kaili's work! Off to visit her blog. :)
These painted faces are beautiful and just so innocent! It's adorable! xo

It makes me think of my twin, and nothing makes me happier than that! Thank you for the smile.

Cute paintings!
I like the way Kaili uses the open bird cage with the escaped bird to express the unleashing of creativity. In traditional (Dutch) genre paintings the same motive symbolized the loss of a woman's virginity.
Just thought that was funny!

Beautiful! I love her work! The suggestions on the latter picture are so true - I should hang them on the wall in my crafting corner, if I had one. :)

Wishing you and Kaili a wonderful weekend!

And greetings from Frankfurt/Main! :)

I am in love with this painting! I have a lovely new friend and she lives in another state, but it makes me think of her. She is one of those girlfriends where you could have turn up on your doorstep without any notice. That person you would have tea or coffee with everyday and never get sick of. So lovely to cherish such beautiful friendships.
