{new painting}
We are flying back to Germany early August so it will be then that I bring over a newly acquired original painting that I purchased from Scottish artist Natasha Morton. It arrived here today and I can't wait to put it in my apartment in Germany, it will fit the color scheme so perfectly.
I will most likely place it to the left of the china cabinet... It may be nice there since it's slim and long. I have to be in the space first to know for sure though. Above it is shown here in New Hampshire on my creamy white living room wall, the room that has the blue accent wall. I think I will prefer it in Hannover since my walls there are stark white and I want to introduce some creamy tones to warm up the space a bit.
And the wood chairs you see above will definitely be painted in August and reupholstered for sure. I also have four chairs now, the green bench is in the entryway. There is a shelf to the left of my table too on the wall. I plan to hang a pendant over the table for candles (non-electric). I plan to go to ABC Carpet & Home in New York in July to buy a few accents, especially an area rug for beneath the table in a mixture of gorgeous colors to warm up the room. I want to wallpaper the interior of the china cabinet, too.
I'll finally have time to do it since last year was about simply furnishing the space so that we could live in it and have people over. Now I can start to work on mini projects and have some fun decorating -- especially my bedroom and the dining area! Yay to decorating!

I love the table, are you going to be painting it as well or just the chairs?
Also, so you mind sharing where your living room rug comes from?
Thanks
Sonia
The rug is jute and from IKEA, it's such a great rug and affordable. I will keep the table as is, I bought it this way, it's wood with white-wash and I like it but it may end up in my office someday. :)
