{I Love Car Moebel}
Ready to see some new photos!? Yay! I love sharing these pieces of my life with you, it gives me something to look forward to as I have my online friends waiting to see the progress here at little maus central. Before I show photos I must point out that I really love Car Moebel. I'm been working with this man, David E., and he has been absolutely outstanding in answering my questions through email. What a pleasant transaction. Best part is that I ordered two chairs and they arrived within 10 days and I ordered a piece of furniture for my hallway and a mirror and it was going to not be in until end of October but he worked hard to ensure that I get it earlier -- it was just delivered by truck an hour ago! I'm so pleased.
Octopus on the other hand. Yuck. They still have not reimbursed us the money from the broken bed that took them 4 months to deliver, they have been really bad to deal with, and the table I ordered from them arrived but was missing parts so my husband also had to fix THAT. Amazing. So after the nightmare with Octopus (cheap quality, poor service, not fulfilling requests, long waits for items (3-4 months!) etc. etc. etc.), ordering from Car Moebel has been an absolute pleasure. I recommend them highly. Some things take longer to arrive but when you go to place the item in your shopping cart the colored buttons let you know right away the estimated time in which it will take to arrive. This is extremely helpful because you know before you purchase so it's not a big mystery. I ordered a rug from Car Moebel and it was also an easy transaction and arrived within 7 days. After three separate orders at Car Moebel, all being exceptional quality furniture and service (and price), I feel really confident to recommend their service here on my blog.
I have two of these chairs, only with white upholstered seats and the wood is natural so I plan to paint them high gloss gray or purple. :) I'll show you when I unpack them. And of course, I will reupholster the seats. I may paint them white and only paint the details in the center of chair back in an actual color, I'm not sure yet. The chairs will go in the dining area.
Now to the next items ordered from Car Moebel for the hallway. First I must state that I will put a new pendant in the hall. I really do not like it so I have a paper lampion in mind that resembles the pattern on the pillow. It's also longer and more narrow to fit the dimensions of the hallway. This pendant, in my eyes, is too large for the hall. It needs more 'breathing' room. I guess it's better than the black lightbulb before though. he he. So glamorous!
I have a new wardrobe/storage bench, rug, and mirror.... The rug was in the bathroom but I'm replacing it with a black one instead.
Hallway now...
I have a single shelf that I may put on the wall below the mirror, I'm still pending on that... and I have a bench that I may place where the shoes are. but for now, since everything just arrived, this is how it looks, the furniture JUST arrived by truck 1 hr ago.
... Now I want to paint the walls or wallpaper! I always do this... I have to 'live' in the rooms and see them come to life then I can decide how and what to do with the walls. I know it's backwards but it's how I have to decorate my personal space. For someone else, I would order the flooring, wallpaper, lighting, etc. first and then add the furniture, etc. But with my own home I do this pretty much the opposite since well, it's MY space and I just do. :)

Of course, I can't see it in real life, but the three lines seem to tie the lines on the door glass and follows the trim.
Of course, I am really just a DIY type trying to set up my space to be nice. I am having this epiphany that it takes A LOT of practice and effort to decorate. I used to think people like you just somehow had a brilliant master plan. Now I see it is a process. Thanks so much for sharing!
I´m sure you mentioned it already, but dang I neeeeed to know where you got that cushion from!? It´d look just perfect in...uhm...I know there´s a place for it somewhere in my apartment...I just know ;)
Thanks for sharing Miss Holly *hugs*
I'm about to move into a new place that has a long entrance hall like yours. I'm saving this post to my "new house ideas" file!
Have a nice weekend!
I'm a huge fan of old/new and the mix of the modern kitchen with the Schrank is perfect.
I loved/laughed about the two tradesmen that put your kitchen together.
now that I've seen the chairs you selected, I am in love with them for our own dining room! alas, the site is all in German, and I can't seem to figure out if they will even sell to customers out of the country. Any suggestions?
Thanks mucho!
Rachel (now settled happily in CA)
