{dinnerware + wooden spoons}
one thing i'm dying to invest in is some good china. not expensive, just well made. i'm looking for white, urban, natural... so when i came across the urban nature collection at villeroy & boch i realized that i had found near perfect china for me. v + b is everywhere in germany so i should have no problem finding it once i get over there.

it's like modernist sculpture, isn't it? the organic shape really appeal to me, as does the combination of wood. oh this is very pretty. i may buy it or something like it... perhaps i can find a vintage set at cominghome interiors. they have amazing finds in their hannover store. i recall they had something like this last year when i photographed their space for decor8.

i'm dying for some natural wood spoons like these made in vermont at live wire farm. i found this link via anna at door sixteen, a new yorker with one foot in europe as her style is much more scandinavian/dutch than any american girl i know.

I love the live wire farm hooks and shelf brackets too. oh so pretty.

I'm so flattered that you see Scandinavian and Dutch traits in my style -- that must mean I'm doing something right. I do truly love a good amount of American architecture and design, too, though. :)
If you decide not to buy here's another beautiful set:

To me, the most classic ever beautiful china there is.
