Back from Scandinavia!

Denmark and Sweden were stunning. I've been to Sweden before but not the western coast and so it was a treat to be there. I was mostly in Copenhagen, though we did travel a few hours outside of the city 3 days and it was so nice to see the countryside, sea and to be in such beautiful homes to style them and mingle with the homeowner.

The photographer, Debi Treloar, was a joy to work with and we all had such a great time. We ate some wonderful meals! During the day, most of the homeowners prepared a spread or put out some wonderful muffins and tea. It was special, though it made returning to work hard after having a full tummy! :)

We met some amazing people on this trip. Amazing. I ate at the Danish parliament too - the chef/author there fed us a 3 course meal with four different kinds of wine. All of the food was locally sourced and the wine was all from very small, private vineyards in Germany, America and France. It was a most memorable experience. Thank you Trina Hahnemann if you are reading this!

welcome back and glad you had a great trip. i love your colorful pictures, especially the one with the different pastel color dishes. really pretty.
You ate at the Danish parliament...man you're too cool, normally it's only Jamie Oliver that gets to do fun things like this! P.S. You should watch his new series "Jamie Does...". He visits some of his fave european countries and learns about their local cusines. I think it might be on channel4.com/4od (an online on demand service) You might get it in Germany, not sure!

Anyway, I'm rambling! Welcome home.

The food looks amazing. You didn't try any pickled herring then? (a speciality :-))It sounds like you've had a great trip, it must be a dream working on the book. I wish you success, you are so talented and I love reading you blogs.
