so i took advice from a friend and dedicated two days next week as holly-days. those days i will treat myself to a visit to the salon for a new haircut, a little color, a little brow waxing action, a facial and a massage. i'm also going to spend 4 hours in the dead of the afternoon shopping and not thinking about anything. nothing at all. i also decided to get myself out of the house this weekend to visit with friends. saturday i will go to a cookout/pool party, saturday evening into boston to have dinner (french) with fernanda and martin and on sunday we'll return to boston to visit paris and greg and meet their just born baby boy. so there anxiety and stress! i'm kicking YOUR butt now! :)
i'm a lady of action, i believe in pulling myself up and not staying down too long. no way.
two weeks from today we board our flight... i can't believe it. germany here we come!

Thank you so much for your haus maus -blog. I'm a Finn living in Munich, with German-South African husband. I've been moving here "little by little" since last October (which I btw don't recommend to anyone, because then your life in both countries are sort of "on hold"), and our home still looks much like we've just moved in. Because I don't speak german (yet), shopping has been quite hmmm... challenging:-) And it was frustrating to notice things like all the bed linen brought from Finland doesn't fit in to german duvets and pillows. Since I found haus maus (via decor8) and started reading it, I've gotten wonderful tips (where to look for furniture in Germany etc.), and also gigantic amount of inspiration. Vielen Dank! Reading your blog is one of my favourite things to do when on the web.
