Shopping Tips
I'd love to know... do you have any online shopping sources in Germany or the EU (must ship to Germany of course) where you buy clothes, home stuff, books, etc?
So far, I'm either buying from Car, Impressionen, The o Dor (from Paris, expensive shipping though), Le Souk, H&M, 3 Suisses and Amazon.de or Amazon.co.uk.
Any other stores you suggest based on personal experience?

You should also ask for the paper catalogue. It's like a deco magazine where you can buy everything (that their baseline ;-) )
I hope you'll like it !
And this is a great boots place if you find it difficult to buy boots

Hope you like them,
Erin
You may want to look into www.boden.co.uk. They have the cutest clothes, shoes and accessories!
I haven't commented in a while, but just wanted to say that I'm really enjoying your posts about the apartment search. I'm moving this year as well, so this is extra inspirational.
Now stores, hm, let me think:
- you probably already now Zara Home?
http://www.zarahome.com/shop/de/de/zara-home/home
Haven't tried this myself yet, but they have yummy stuff.
Books:
- The Book Depository is excellent: free delivery worldwide on most of their books, and many of the titles on Amazon are available through them as well
http://www.bookdepository.co.uk/
- Persephone Books... What can I say, they are just stunning, absolutely beautiful, I would love to collect them all. Their "One Book A Month"offer is very tempting

I am a big fan of "The White Company", a British shop with several shops in London and elsewhere. (You'd be in London with Ryan Air for some 20 EUR via Bremen or Luebeck). And I absolutely love their online shop http://www.thewhitecompany.com/ for bed linen, towels and garments. As the Euro is still quite strong, the prices are competitive even with higher postage. Plus they are friendly and returns are easy.
All the best,
Cancale
Manufactum (natural stuff, sometimes a bit frumpy),
MUJI (home of simple and brandfree products),
Design 3000,
Lesen.de (sometimes English books are cheaper there than at Amazon.de and its free shipping too, at least within Germany)
well, Dawanda,
and TechGalerie (quirky USB gadgets and other useless stuff *g*).
Nothing super fancy and awesome I guess :(
http://help.next.co.uk/Section.aspx?ItemId=10440
Also - their travel section is actually pretty good if you select higher stars of lodging.
For fabric, check out stoffundstil.de, the good prices make up for the shipping.
Kirsch Interior (http://www.kirsch-interior.de/shop/index.php) has some nice little deco ideas.
Apart from handmade things, you can find great vintage stuff on Dawanda!
Brigitte von Boch at http://bevonboch.com/shop/ has nice things, too -from fashion to home.
A great site for shopping local:
http://www.stylespotted.com/ has a drop-down menu for various german cities, such as Hannover. You can find all the small, charming little shops there, that you may have overlooked before.
And pleeeease let us know what you liked, maybe even where you shopped!
A favorite shop of mine is Plumo - they have gorgeous clothes and cuteness for the home:)
Topshop and Zara are great too.
I would suggest:
- Bemz: http://www.bemz.com/index.php/page/home/selectFlag/de/ (alternative slipcovers for IKEA sofas)
- Maisons du Monde: http://uk.maisonsdumonde.com/ (ma fav lately)
I'm eying Artedonna; gorgeous houseware, but I haven't ordered from them yet: http://www.artedona.com/
Hope you all find something there worth lusting over!
And http://www.artedona.com/ looks very nice, I don't have any experience of ordering there though. AND for the best birthday presents there is always the http://www.schenkshop.de/ :-))
I don't want to name the item I'm watching right now but it costs around 600 (catalog price - 1300). Mmmh! I really need to decide myself!
And if you send me your up-to-date email address, I'll invite you to brands4friends, a closed shopping community which has brand sales that last just a couple of days so you have to a) be in and b) be quick in order to score the item first.
Lace-up.de has a REALLY good selection of shoes - and they have good offers rather often, so it makes sense to register and get their newsletter.
And - am I the only person who thinks that CAR Möbel is deliriously overpriced?
http://www.octopus-versand.de/
Their furniture is usually presented in the "Brigitte" magazine. Delivering takes it´s time, though.
Kind regards
Herr M

I order most of my fabrics from Quiltzauberei (http://www.quiltzauberei.de) - Amy Butler! - or Anita Pavani for organic fabric http://www.naturstoff.de/
Scandinavian Design Center is great as well (www.scandinaviandesigncenter.de), and Finnish Design Shop (www.finnishdesignshop.com). And Skansen in Stockholm has a sweet Museum shop that ships all over Europe (www.skansenbutiken.se).

Tuttemerull.nl is very special. I'm not very sure if all four of them will ship to germany but i don't think its a big problem.
I also shop at lesouk but i never tried a webshop from outside the Netherlands so i can't really help you any further. I'm sorry!

Gudrunsjoden.de is quite expensive but has good offers in the sale. I'm especially fond of all the embroidery Gudrun uses!
Hema.nl has announced that 'soon' it will be possible to order from outside of Holland.
I love asos.com for a nice pair of boots or heels.
And now I'm off to look at all the other great shops mentioned in the comments!
what about cairo?
http://www.cairo.de
They ship any of their items within 24 hrs. I have ordered there for my clients and they were prompt, correct and very kind.
Actually their website is only in German.
Or have you heard about Ikarus? Another company I like:
