Oh a hunting we will go...
Today I ventured to one of the local flea markets, this one is held year round along the river in the old town part of the city. The flohmarkt (flea market) started at 7am but I hit it later in the day since it was in the 80s and sunny and I knew it would be busy. I didn't go until late afternoon but I was lucky to find a few tiny things that I liked. Here are some views of the flohmarkt just for you. Let's start at where I hopped off of the u-bahn (subway).
I felt SO SILLY photographing a flea market so I only took a few photos but you can see some of it. It is a "U" shape market extending down one long cobblestone road over a footbridge and then down the other side. I like the flow of it, it's easy to navigate so you can cover the whole market within an hour or two.
I have to be honest though, it is not "the bomb" when it comes to flea markets. It's kinda so-so. I heard there's a larger one accessible by train so I'll hit that one next week and see what it's like. This one is nice if you happen to be in the city and want to check it out since it's downtown, but I saw so few things that interested me that I doubt I'll be a regular here...
Though I love my 'lil loot! :)

Greetings from another H-town
I had a pig like yours when I was a little Girl. Did you know it is a whistle? There must be a hole in the belly of the pig and you can whistle like whistling on an old key ( oh dear, that would have been easier in german, I hope you know what I mean).
Looking forward to more great photographs of my hometown....
Oooh, when do you start your German lessons??
Oooh, when do you start your German lessons??
I love flea markets and I used to frequent the Naschmarkt in Vienna (when I lived over there) on Saturdays. It was one of my proudest moments when I was able to bargain with a seller in German! :)
And what a lovely day to go shopping on a fleamarket...
He was so sweet I had to keep him. (the pig I mean, hee hee)
