BIO Market Loot
I just had to do it. I went to the bio market downtown (Denn's) to simply "browse" yesterday and yes I know better because browse rarely means walking out empty handed... but I came upon some wood plates and bowls (instead of plastic or paper plates -- you can buy real wood disposable picnic plates here) that nearly came home with me. But no, they stayed behind. Here's what did come back to my haus...
A foot and hand care set by Dr Hauschka (organic/bio-dynamic) which I used after my bath last night, a nail brush with a daschshund on it (the cashier loved it and didn't realize they stocked these. I told her it was in the kiddie section but that I'm young at heart), Dr Hauschka body wash (in the states this is usually $20 plus tax but here is was 8,- Euro (tax included) so with the current exchange rate between the weak dollar and the strong Euro that is about $10.40 US. Also some spices from one of my favorite brands for tea and spice - Sonnentor. These are amazing spices and around 4- Euro each. Worth every cent. I made chicken with the Provence blend last night and it was magical. Oh and the wood spoons -- this pack was .89 cents. They had knives and forks too for the same price.

I very much like both your blogs Decor8 and Haus Maus and admire your work and talent.I' m writing coz I noticed a book, in the picture of your shopping from Denn. I'm almost certain it's " At home with white ". It's one of my favourite books! Btw: since a year and a half I'm setting up a whole new life and home in Germany, too. And I met my companion on line! I 'm happy to " meet" another person who did the same and it is turning out good! When you have time, between all,I'd be happy if you visit me on www.flickr.com/photos/ivy_style33 All the best.
