Bye Bye Stuff!

Well, we did it! Our int'l relo company left now, here's a photo of the truck as they were loading it (I'm a geek for snapping a photo, but I like to document things). I can't believe how empty our home is. Only a bed, desk and desk chair left, along with our luggage for the flight. We will live bare bones until Saturday when we go to Boston to stay until next Wednesday, then we catch our flight and that's it -- bon voyage!

Moving Day!

I'm heading to Salvation Army now to donate yet MORE bins of stuff I decided not to take. The fun NEVER ends!!! xo

I'm a geek like that, too. My hubby gets tired quickly of all of my photo taking, but i do it anyway. I want proof of my life when I'm too old to remember! :)

Moving is so hard.Think we should punish criminals by making them move over and over again.Just a thought. Atleast you have the thought of living in Germany to pull you through-lucky girl!
Moving can be such a energy draining experience. I've moved about 9 times (too much)- good luck with your final move, hope all goes well.

Hello! Welcome to Germany. I´m so excited finding your blog. How cool is that, you are moving to Hannover (one of my dearest friends just did) - and I was in New Hampshire for vacation last month. Whew I send you very warm greetings to settle down in Hannover. For you as American it may will be rough, you know, most of the Germans are rough. But I´m looking forward to read your experiences and impressions in Hannover. I live in Berlin and know and love a lot of the Shops you linked- it´s so funny. I wish I had found your blog when I was in New Hamshire. Allright, enough of this, please feel happy here :)

Wow Holly, I am so proud of you fulfilling your dream! when we moved to the USA 4 years ago we were in a long on going state of excitement for ages and it was a wonderful experience, I found that the move allowed me to get out of my comfort zone and really grow.
You guys will be fine! and if you miss the states too much, hop on a plane and don't stress, that's what we do.
love and good luck

Wow! I am so excited for you - moving can be exhausting, draining, scary... but also really, really exciting and freeing, don't you think? You're almost there now!

yay! and eeek! too =) I took a picture of the 18 wheeler coming down our little German street and although my husband was then going "um the neighbors are watching you" we've often looked back on that picture and gone "HOW did they get down our street?!" so the picture was worth it, ha ha - keep taking them!

Holly, this is so exciting. I would like to move to Europe as well. For the couple of years I've been reading your blog, I have been watching you steadily make your wishes come true. I a little envious. Are you a believer in metaphysics? Have you read The Secret?

The reason you are not scared is because you have the love of your life that you are embarking on this adventure with. And, oh yeah, because it's the right thing to do. Good luck. I'm enjoying reading your adventure, but my life sure is boring.
You are very brave, Holly!
Welcome to Europe.
