US Stores That Ship To Germany

I thought I'd quickly list some US stores that ship to Germany since lots of you who are new here may not know that you can still order your GAP jeans and your West Elm napkins. Three words, Yes. You. Can.

Now I'm hoping Target, Kate Spade and J.Crew will do the same!

Do you order from an US-based stores and if so, would you like to share the link in the comments section below? Thank you!

Not bad!

I recently discovered that Crate and Barrel, CB2, and Land of Nod also all ship to Europe. I haven't tried it. I think that the import taxes might be insane.

Could you share in which German City Anthro will open a store? Danke

Crate & Barrel and CB2 also do international shipping now.

Pottery Barn now ships to most EU countries, to Germany also. Not to The Netherlands though, which is a bit odd. Overstock.com ships to EU too

Nordstrom DOES ship to Germany too, but the shipping costs are just ridiculous (100 USD for a dress + about 40 USD for shipping without taxes etc.)

Wow that's exciting if that's changed since I've moved here! Once our credit cards were German, I found it wasn't possible to make the transactions.

I also struggled to use a US credit card with a German shipping address. It was just too suspicious or something!

I have shopped at the gap.eu several times and I love that finally opened it. Could never understand why the GAP/ BR is available all over Europe but not in Germany. Thanks for the links.

Martha Stewart ships to Germany, too. Shipping rates and taxes are high but still reasonable .

@Monica: Gap already did have some stores in Germany. But they were closed some years ago... :(

I do a lot of online shopping and shipping from the states but I have a military APO address here in Italy. I get frustrated when stores don't treat an APO as a US address. If a store doesn't ship to Europe, you can always use a remailing/forwarding service such as http://www.usa2me.com/site/pgeMailManager.aspx. They are pretty affordable and reliable.
Just a reminder, that all of these shipments can be subject to both German Mehrwertsteuer (VAT) and Customs, which can be charged upon arrival. This is the case for those business that do not have a German presence. The charges can increase the cost of the overall shipment up to 30%. Won't always happen, but it can.

Most of the brand is available at my country, so we have privilege to just go to the store. But I would like to have Anthropologie here. I visited their store during my last trip to LA and I love them.

There is one online site that I love to shop and well it is not US brand but offer nice clothes and same in the very good price. It is UK brand. the website called www.asos.com (may be you heard about it before) :)

I know you're asking for US recommendations but I'm a Brit, so I order from the UK, and I didn't want to feel left out ;) I have ordered items Peopletree.co.uk (a fairtrade clothing company who I ADORE) - their service was fantastic and my order arrived in two days!

Also, according to their website Urban Outfitters are opening a shop in Frankfurt soon.

How about any stores that ship from Germany to the US? I would love to know.
Have you tried setting up a US mailing address with a forwarding? That's what I do through myus.com although costs can be high - but if you "need it" you need it :)

Free people ships to g-many. In the end, I REALLY don't think its worth buying anything from the states, if you"re an expat. WHY ON EARTH would you triple the price of say a pair of pants and be charged custom taxes again when Item is brought to your doorstep???!!!

Yes, I was also really excited to see that West Elm, Crate and Barrel and CB2 also started international shipping, but as others have mentioned, the shipping and taxes are pretty high. So for now, I'll still be taking an extra suitcase home for Christmas and loading it with loot to 'import' back to DE :-)

On the other hand if the exchange rate continues to favor the Euro, it can make some lighter weight items worth it (shower curtains, sheets, etc.)
