Shlomit Ofir Jewelry

I just purchased some jewelry from Shlomit Ofir in Tel Aviv (on etsy) and now I can't wait to see everything when it arrives in person because I've been dying to own some new necklaces and earrings for Summer. The designer was actually trained in Industrial Design but she's applying some of her skills to jewelry and it's obvious she is very technical and a bit of a perfectionist, which I love. Here's a glimpse of one of my new necklaces, I love doilies and think this modern interpretation is just the best.

Shlomit Ofir Jewelry

Isn't it gorgeous? I have a silver blouse almost exactly like this one from Zara only mine has sleeves and some lace detailing on the sleeves, and a pair of black trousers and sandals -- I think it will look really nice for Summer with a pair of simple silver wire hoops and a chunky silver ring. :) By the way, have you heard of Pilgrim in Denmark? You can buy some of their things on this UK website. You can find a lot of their gorgeous jewelry in Hannover boutiques where I usually purchase it but I nearly fell over when I found some Pilgrim bracelets here in America last month at TJ Maxx, which is like a discount store where last season's things are sold. They had a bunch of Pilgrim bracelets in their display case marked down to $5 and $10 because I don't think most people here really are familiar with the brand! But I am! he he. So I scooped up 3 gorgeous bracelets, all for under $20 USD. I couldn't believe it. One would have been around 40,- Euros so you can see the discount! Three for $20 is quite a steal. But Pilgrim has some cute things, I go for their dainty barely-there jewelry, I'm not into huge statement pieces or overly floral motifs though I do have a few bold necklaces designed by my artist friends but I usually save those for something like an opera or a fancy dinner out. My daily jewelry is usually a bit on the simple side. When it comes to accessories, I'm more into understated elegance. Do you have any favorite jewelry brands? I also love the bracelets made by my friend Esra Celik, and some of Petra's necklaces too. They are both designers in Hannover who specialize in more ethnic designs which I'm a big fan of since I love bohemian style. (images: shlomit ofir)

Thanks for the jewelry links! All of my jewelry was stolen last year while we were in Spain. Thankfully I had the most precious things with me (like my engagement ring) and I had good insurance. I'm in the process of starting over with my jewelry, which hey, there could be worse things to shop for, right? Here is a link to my blog post from Mother's Day. My husband surprised me with an absolutely gorgeous oyster shell ring!
