{more reasons to love germany}

I saw this home today, awwww. Lovely. It's a Flemish chapel made into a home. I'm drooling over the windows in the kitchen and living room space. Gorgeous. We have many Hannover apartments with windows like the ones you see in this kitchen in the pre-war buildings. I think they are amazing. Those chapel windows are very rare however, what a gem of a property these Hamburg owners have! Germany is known for having great windows in their city apartments even the post war buildings like the one we currently live in has huge windows taking up most of the wall in each room. There's nothing like large windows, sun or no sun, I love to feel that I'm connected to the outside world. (images from apartment therapy new york)

Beautiful! Reminds me so much of my home town in Ghent....Flanders! :)

Holly, next time you are inGermany you really need to stop by! I now that you are busy but it is so beautiful here - you would love it. Plus there is little shop here that is so Decor8, I think of you every time I pas by it.

Not that you should come all the way to Ghent for the little shop of course...but frankly the architecture here is so gorgeous and you have a friend who would love to meet you in person one of these days!
