Workshops in Hannover: News!

I had hoped to have a workshop in Hannover in my home studio in July but there was so much interest that my inbox became flooded and it concerned me a bit... Scared me even. It felt so overwhelming... I wondered if I had taken too large of a bite and that maybe I couldn't handle it given my schedule at that time. Plus, the idea of having complete strangers into my home for workshops made me feel a little tense. But then...

New washi tapes

I thought really long and hard about it and decided that I got this apartment with the two large front rooms for my workspace so I could teach here, so I will follow through with my plans - I will do a workshop here - in fact I want to do several and I plan to even have some special guests at some - and they will take place in the late Fall and Winter. Those are really good months to be indoors working in a creative atmosphere on inspiring projects and such. We will eat, craft, decorate, take photos, blog, network, listen to great music and be merry!

For the many lovely people who wrote to me about my workshops, please accept my apology for not holding them in July. However, I plan to put together my ideas and let everyone know my concrete plans, registration process, etc. very soon so please - stay tuned!

Love,
Holly xo

I never registered for a spot in you workshop, I read about it though. Hannover is a bit far for me, but I hope to do your e-couse one day. I can understand why it is overwhelming to have so many people interested in your workshop. I think for many people visiting you home must be the ultimate thing to do. You have to realize that you are a famous now. Maybe you should hire a place to do the workshops, so you will have your home to yourself.
OK my 2 cents.
I hope you are having a nice time off.

Holly, those are great news, I am so much looking forward to it. If you don' t feel like doing it in your private space, let' s do it somewhere else, I'll be more than happy and help you organizing, will spend some etra time in Hanover in Fall/Winter. Just ask if you need anything!

Hi Holly,

I would love to go to a workshop at your place! As I´m living quite close to Hanover it would be absolutely perfect for me! I think July wasn't really good because of the summer vacations.

Isabelle

We recently moved to Switzerland not too far from Lake Leman. So not really close to Hanover but depending on the time of the year, I would love to get organized and be able to join your workshop. That said, after reading your beautiful post on Decor*8 today, I am not sure you are still in this energy. Maybe that will happen, maybe not. You seem to need something bigger and so far away from planning registration process and craft party planning. I am sure you watched and read the novel many times, but Eat Pray Love seems more "aligned" with your needs. Wishing you a lovely time for you. Just you, whether on your blanket in the park or somewhere in Bali or India.

Namaste,

Lila

Hi Holly,
I am in Bremen so a workshop in Hannover is perfect. I also signed up for the one planned for July so I'm happy to hear that you are still working on it.
I just read your post on decor8 and as you have received so many wise comments, I will only add that contentment comes from within and is not a constant feeling (at least not for me). There will always be periods of uncertainty so just breathe deeply, consider your blessings and be thankful and then get back to work.
That being said, I'm actually off to Bali for 3 weeks in September. I hope to be inspired and rejuvenate my currently flagging creative spirit !
Be Well,
Ada

I'm so excited for you! I think this sounds lovely - and I think with the type of people your classes attract, you should be absolutely okay using the front rooms of your home. Start with some invitation only classes maybe? Then have people bring guests/friends that you don't know and ease yourself into it? Good luck with things!!

Hi Holly,

Thanks so much for your valuable guest post in the 'Flying Lessons' course. I'm so in awe of you're new adventure and look forward to hearing more about it here ... part of me wants to fly over and take one of these workshops, sounds wonderful and so glad you're doing it anyways :)

Holly, this sounds like fun! I'm an American artist living in Hamburg, but my husband grew up near Hannover and we like to visit. I'll look forward to following your blog here now that I've discovered it (read your interview in Kelly Rae Roberts' e-course), and maybe joining you for a workshop someday!
