{life is so good}
our darling cousin called from germany yesterday... who is like our second mom, an older version of cameron diaz, just as blonde, just as pretty, just as bubbly, and loaded with pure energy. her positivity is super contagious, i adore being in her company. do you know people like this? they just bubble over with joy and cheer. so she called because she heard the agency didn't have floor plans available for our apartment so she's going to drive up to hannover this week to measure for us. she lives in a village on a hillside near the schloß bückeburg, a castle i visited with her back in '05. i wish i could recall the name of her village, i'd show you photos of her darling town. it's so quaint, much like an english village. i find the english countryside and the northern german villages a lot alike. anyway.. i've been dying to get the dimensions of the rooms and finally we will have them. now i can start pulling together some floor plans which i'll post here on haus maus soon. life is good.
p.s. i just remembered where our cousin lives... antendorf.

i like the names of the little towns... the one i'm moving to in the nl is called hoofddorp. how cute. :)
I have a question for you that I really hope you can give me some insight into. I will probably be moving to germany early next year and I'm trying to find an apartment. Do you know of any resources for non-furnished, long term, apartment rental in the Ruhr area (preferably Essen or Duisberg) online? These resources can also be in german because I kind of understand the language. ANY suggestions would be hugely appreciated, I see to only find thing in Dusseldorf.
Thank you again, love this blog!
